So this morning was the first morning with our newest family member and with full routines in place as Victoria started school today again after a three week break for Christmas.
I guess 5.5 years makes you forget a lot. Raising a newborn is no serious joke. Maybe that’s why one loves their kids so much. This little lady didn’t get the calm the hell down memo throughout the day or night. She is nonstop.
Whether she has all her needs met and is changed and swaddled - doesn’t matter. She is always hangry or just plain restless.
She may be going through womb withdrawals where she did nothing and all her needs were met. Now she’s gotta work with those taken for granted needs before.
Regardless, she’s precious and we love her just the way she is.
Mommy is still in lotsa pain, and especially when she decides that her nipples can also be lunch.
Gotta say that her appetite has increased considerably.
Her eyes since yesterday are more open and seems a bit more alert.
Friends and neighbors continue to bring us food which is amazing. Definitely lessens the load or adjustment in the home.
Victoria seems to be coping ok, but seems to be on the brink of a breakdown at moments notice as she has now seen how much attention Valentina requires.
